To everyone who relates to this, I recommend an idea called “mini habits” or “atomic habits”. There are books and YouTube videos about it. The idea is, don’t get lost in lofty goals that you’ll never realistically accomplish. Instead, develop habits that will set you on the path to success. But you can’t rely on your will power to, say, practice the piano for an hour every day. Instead, just start with two minutes. It’s just two minutes... can’t be that hard to force yourself to do two minutes right? Well, once you start it’s easier to keep going. Two minutes often turns into 5, which turns into 10. And if you can keep going with two minutes every day, you’ll have a productive habit after a few months.
