I thought it was silly when I was a teen but looking back now, there is something really wholesome about MySpace Tom being a “friend” to everyone when they join.
He’d even send you a welcome message (automated obviously, but it was written by person with a brain, it was warm & friendly) that would show you how to use certain features & guide you to the right tech support if you needed it.
I’m pretty sure you could message him just to chat, too - but I don’t remember if anyone ever got a real reply.
Miss you MySpace Tom- you’re still Top 8 material, man.
ETA: I have been informed that MySpace Tom did, in fact, write the welcome messages himself - and if you were there in the early stages, chatting with him was a breeze. What a legend.

Tom was my one friend that was always there no matter what.
Edit: I remember trying to add Tom on Facebook when I first got it. He was there too!
