Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders refused to even consider how President Donald Trump would facilitate a "crazy transition of power" should he lose on Election Day.
Fox News co-host Ainsley Earhardt told Sanders that many of her New Yorker friends are very worried "non-peaceful protesting" will occur after Election Day, prompting Sanders to dismiss even the possibility Joe Biden could win on November 3. Asked if Trump would work with Democrats on a "peaceful solution" should he lose, Sanders rejected the premise of the question and predicted the president will win "clearly and decisively." But later in the interview, Sanders did warn that if Biden should somehow manage to win, "liberal mob chaos" will take over the streets of U.S. cities.
Sanders cautioned Fox & Friends viewers Tuesday morning that a Trump loss—improbable as she believes that may be—would create a "crazy transition of power" that will shake the country. Trump has said multiple times he doesn't plan on simply congratulating his opponent if he loses the election. In 2016, Trump himself predicted, "I don't think you're ever going to see me again" should he lose to Hillary Clinton.
"When you look at Seattle, Portland and see what happened to New York a few months ago with all the riots and non-peaceful protesting, many New Yorkers that I've talked to in this city are nervous and worried that if he does win, what's going to happen?" Earhardt asked Sanders. "Will people who voted for him be upset and will they be out there in a non-peaceful way? What do you recommend, if that does happen, does the president work with these Democratic lawmakers to come to some peaceful solution or is that even possible?" "I'm hopeful that Donald Trump will win on November 3, clearly and decisively and we won't have that problem," Sanders replied.
She continued, "I do think America will be in big trouble if Joe Biden wins the presidency because of the type of chaos and madness that we saw in Seattle and Portland and other places is the type of liberal mob chaos that will take place in communities across this country. Joe Biden has shown he is unwilling and unable to stand up to the liberal mob. Donald Trump has proven time and time again not only is he willing to stand up to them, but he can actually defeat them, he did it in 2016, I'm hopeful that he can do it again in what will be a clear and decisive win on November 3 and we won't have to worry about that crazy transition of power that could take place."
At the outset of Tuesday's Fox & Friends interview, Sanders praised remarks Trump made just an hour or so earlier on the program. The former White House communications chief said she hopes Trump touts his own accomplishments during the upcoming debates. But also noted "if he lets Joe Biden talk long enough" without microphone interruption, "[Biden] will certainly make plenty of mistakes on his own."
"The president remade the judiciary, rebuilt the military, defeated the ISIS caliphate, created historic tax cuts, trade deals like we've never seen before in every area of our country, in every demographic and every American is doing better under this president," Sanders said of Trump's accomplishments.
Despite Sanders and Trump's repeated claims about Islamic State militants being "destroyed," ISIS attacks have surged in Africa and elsewhere over the past two years, according to multiple reports published Sunday.
Sanders said she hopes the Commission on Presidential Debates is abolished as soon as possible, pointing to the third-party organization's decision to cut the microphones of whichever candidate is not speaking in this week's debate. Sanders described the commission as "outdated and [having] a lot of bias" in their moderator picks.
Sanders, who left her White House role under good terms in June 2019, reiterated to Fox News viewers that Trump has made their lives "better off now than they were four years ago." When pressed to detail how a Biden-Kamala Harris ticket will lead to "socialism," Sanders replied that Democrats want government to intrude on every aspect of their daily lives.
"What America will look like under a Joe Biden presidency, we can either continue under the path of prosperity, safety and security under this president or we can go down the path of socialism under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris—that's what Americans want."
Newsweek reached out to the White House for any response to their potential transition of power plans but received no reply by time of publishing.

Trump's flat-out refusal to commit to a peaceful transition of power should be enough. It should be enough for people to ask themselves whether they want a candidate that will uphold the democratic ideals America was founded on or one that will attempt to break the system at every turn to secure power for himself.
It makes me very sad and angry to think that so many people want to turn their backs on free and open elections in order to keep Trump in the White House.
