All we do during mine is I'll have a private meeting with my boss where we'll go over my duties and how well I think I'm performing at them versus how my boss thinks I'm performing at them, then we'll discuss how we think I could improve my performance doing my duties.
Having someone standing over my shoulder watching me work is just a surefire way to decrease my productivity...
