I added a grill thermometer to my cart that was on sale for $7.43. A lightning deal was starting soon so I waited and once the deal started the price changed to $7.99. Was still able to purchase the one in my cart for the lower price before the deal sold out.

There's a lot of extensions you can get to see price history on Amazon, I highly recommend it. I use Camelcamelcamel.
Edit: I was mistaken, looks like I switched to Keepa and forgot. Plenty of free options out there though
