Well I onetime read that sometimes being honest is the best way to deceive someone
Edit: I actually found the book where I personally got it from. it's Max frisch Biedermann und die Brandstifter (German for "... And the arsonists) it's a book where I was forced to read for school. In short its all about two people asking strangers if they can stay in the homes from them and constantly" joking" how they are arsonists and preparing to set this house on fire and getting away with it
People can be phenomenal idiots in this game sometimes. I was in a full party of 10 once (premade group). Lights went out and four of us grouped up to move towards it since we all happened to be in the same area. One died, I reported it immediately and clearly said that one of the impostors is one of the remaining three of us as an absolute fact.
Myself and the other one of those three who was crew both got killed the next phase and impostors won. Goldfish-like memory on everyone else: he was never suspected again for the rest of the game. I don't normally get too upset in games, but this was absolutely tilting and I had to bite my tongue to avoid shouting at everyone during the next voting phase when he was not questioned.
Won a game today where I killed someone in front of someone else every round, self reported, and accused the other witness. Every time everyone believed me. Three rounds in a row. Outrageous win.
