Former New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia had some choice words for Carlos Correa after the Houston Astros shortstop called out his team's critics following Houston's wild-card series win over the Minnesota Twins.
Correa took a shot at Astros critics after his team recovered from a 29-31 regular-season record to defeat Minnesota in two games. Houston was the subject of a sign-stealing scandal during the offseason.
Sabathia was a member of the Yankees team that lost to the Astros in the 2017 postseason - the same year they cheated and won a World Series.
"They cheated and then they're mad at us. Like get the f--- out of here," Sabathia said on the R2C2 podcast. "It's a f-----g joke. And then you finish under .500 this year. Like, shut the f--- up. ... The kid's a clown, I'm sorry."
After Sabathia praised his friend Dusty Baker for winning a playoff series and managing the Astros through a chaotic campaign, the 2007 AL Cy Young winner continued his verbal assault on Correa and his teammates.
"F--- them dudes, man," Sabathia said. He then threw a touch of shade at the Twins' postseason inadequacy: "Y'all beat a team that's lost 18 straight f------ playoff games."
The Yankees also lost to Houston in the 2019 American League Championship Series, which was Sabathia's last postseason series before he retired from baseball.

Correa has really made an ass out of himself ever since this whole thing came out. He went from being really likeable to a shithead.
