Had a family member that tried to expose corruption in the local sheriff's department in regards to the sheriff fucking people that were jailed, seizing property without listing it and planting drugs/guns/paraphernalia on known "two strike" people (I live in a 3-strike state). They settled outside of court and my family member left the country. The sheriff has since been charged with sex crimes, incest and whatever else.
