My wife is in a wheelchair and was an excellent cook before she became disabled. I have taken over all of the cooking related activities, but she doesn’t like giving them up because she loves to cook and is good at it. Her solution is to wheel into our very small kitchen and talk to me and give me tips while keeping me from getting to the refrigerator or oven.

Added twist, spouses have to help judge the food. If chef yelled at them they’d be hostile

Then the spouse randomly starts washing dishes “can you cook over there? I want to get these dishes done quick “.
