There's a regular I have at work. She's elderly and was talking about her new phone. Then she mentioned how she wanted to get her old phone fixed but no one would touch it because the battery is swollen.
And then she pulled it out of her purse.
I very carefully told her to get rid of that fucking thing before it blew up in her purse. She seemed really surprised and I was seriously wondering why not one of those places offered to put it in a gadget recycle bin so she didn't get hurt. Or even told her to get rid of it.
I was at the Apple store last week getting a screen replacement, when one of their techs messed up and punctured my battery (still not sure how that happens). It swelled up like this and caused a whole scene. They used this long pair of tongs to put the phone into an explosion proof box. Lucky for me it went from spending $100 for a new screen -> free brand new iPhone :D I feel like I won the lottery lol
