MIAMI, Fla. – In an interview with WFOR in Miami, Governor Ron DeSantis admitted for the first time, that Florida’s unemployment system is designed to not pay out claims.

“I think the goal was for whoever designed, it was, ‘Let’s put as many kind of pointless roadblocks along the way, so people just say, oh, the hell with it, I’m not going to do that,” said DeSantis.

That statement angering millions of Floridians that are out of work, like Heather Walsh of North Fort Myers. Walsh hasn’t received a penny after applying in April for unemployment.

“It’s sad. It’s really sad. I can’t believe our state would do this to us,” said Walsh.

FL State Representative Anna Eskamani asking the question on the minds of millions:

“Floridians are still not getting paid so it begs the question if the governor believes the website was built not to work…then why hasn’t he fixed it?,” said Eskamani.

Now, the DeSantis Administration is preparing to award more than $130 million contract to the same company in charge of the troubled unemployment system. That website will manage Medicaid data.

130M for another non-functioning government website... These numbers are just insane...

This is just 99% graft at this point...
