I'm "retired"/unemployed at 49. I've built an afternoon nap anywhere between 2-5 into my daily routine. I mean hell I'm in quarantine. I shut out all the lights drop the temperature and sleep for a good 75+ minutes.. I avoid the heat of the day when it's the hottest out and the brightest out and I get up feeling refreshed for the evening.
My therapist is worried that this signals depression. I personally think it is the ultimate in self care. A pricey spa wouldn't do me any better than how I feel after waking up from an afternoon nap.

Plus getting at least one month paid vacation. Often more.

Careers have become the grown version of “how much sleep did you get last night I studied so hard I didn’t get any” from high school.
