There's a dark truth to this. In the movies kidnappers and rapists and murderers and etc are kind of glamorously sinister and it's like they're really smart and have their shit together but are just evil professional criminals, IRL they're often borderline retarded, on drugs and/or homeless, lowest dregs of society types. It's weird to think those dirtbag trashy types you look down your nose at and mock, maybe even feel pity for if you're a good person, could become your worst nightmare.
