*Rich kids in the 90’s. The reason for the console war was most kids could only afford one system.

More than 1 console? Richie Rich right there.

We had my dad's VIC-20 up until I was in high school and we finally got a PS1.

Real 90s gaming:

Either Genesis or SNES

No addons for Genesis cause your parents said that was stupid

The pack in cart and 3 or so games you got for birthdays that are universally panned today

Blockbuster rental you got for the weekend, street fighter was never in stock

A Nintendo Power/Sega Visions magazine for fantasizing about the games you won't get for Christmas

A Game Boy/Game Gear if you were a spoiled little shit. Never any batteries for it. Traded POGs for game carts with your friends at school.

Shitty 80s CRT to play it on, connected by RF. Wavy picture and colors looked like ass. If your dad was cool he'd hook it up through the VCR to the 27 inch in the living room, but you'd never get to play it then but in the early morning.

Spending more time outside than playing games because of the above reasons. Usually roleplaying the games with the neighborhood kids.

If you were older, like high school age, the console was just a supplement to the arcade where real gaming was happening.

The picture there showcases what us 90s kids have NOW lol.
