I love Esmeralda. I wanted to be her when I was little.

She stands up for what's right and doesn't back down.

Also "God help the outcasts" is beautiful.

As a kid, that's kinda a meh scene, a little bit funny, but just that. But seen this movie twenty years later is waaaay better. Frolo is the best Disney villain ever. Esmeralda is doing an striptease there. Frolo sees her as a temptation, something he must have. Quasimodo as something exotic, that seems unattainable, but in some way expecting to be loved in his terms, trying to fit the experience of a relationship without ever wondering what are her priorities. And then the knight in golden armor is able to see Esmeralda as a real person, someone who suffers, has desires and fights. So he fights by her side, sharing the same principles of injustice and disgust. He actually cares, and tries to fix the problem, and not just get the girl, or be the hero. That scene is so fucking wild. That is basically a Disney princess pooldancing in front a crowd who are tossing 1 dolar coins to the girl.

Sorry, learning english on my own. Any advice and/or correction would be great.

man, The Hunchback of Notre Dame has (imo) one of the best soundtracks of the whole Disney Renaissance.
