As someone who just had a house fire a few months ago, an entire apartment building total loss, it would be extremely hard to actually commit and get away with arson for insurance purposes. The fire investigator that was looking into our fire knew it was electrical, where it started, how it happened...all while the place was burning down. They could pinpoint the room in the specific apartment, and the whole fucking place was burnt rubble. They know their shit. I wouldn't even consider burning down my own property for insurance.
