I learned recently that clover was once considered an appropriate groundcover in yards across the country. Unfortunately grass seed and weed killer manufacturers managed to convince everyone that clover is undesirable - sounded like the story of how gillette convinced people that beards were unsanitary so they could sell you razors.

Is that wood sorrel rather than clover? We get it in forests here in the UK not sure if you have the same or similar species in the US?
