Christian blogger and data CEO jailed for attempted rape of a child and sexual battery

48-year-old Kenneth Raetz was charged with aggravated sexual battery and attempted rape of a child when a 13-year-old girl testified to 10-15 occurrences of abuse beginning in May 2018 when she was 11 years old.

On June 25th, a juvenile victim told authorities that Kenneth Raetz had on multiple occasions violated her. According to affidavits, he would come to her bedroom a give her back massages and that it “got out of hand” when he began to “grope and fondle” her chest. She also explained that he would touch her groin area and that she would pretend to be asleep. When asked if she wanted him to stop, she told him yes, but continued the molestation anyway.

The victim testified that Kenneth Raetz made bare contact under both her underwear and brassiere. She explained that she would “hold her legs together” to avoid penetration but that he did attempt to do so. The girl was between 11 and 13 years of age during the abuse which began in May of 2018. The report states that Raetz “openly admitted” the actions via telephone with the Department of Child Services.

Well, that makes things easier. It can be very hard for victims to get justice, especially after time has gone by since the offense. If he had denied it, the case would have been based totally on the credibility of the victim and any possible corroborating evidence - one reason why sex offenders so often get away with what they do.
