We had someone break into a friend's car at the gym, broke the window and everything. The police website sent them to the phone line and the phone line sent them to website. Finally they got ahold of someone, only to be told that the police won't investigate unless over 3k was stolen. Maybe the police have too many tasks to do but it makes you wonder why months later (presently) with all that police work they have, they can send hundreds to stop peaceful protests.

Honestly what's the point of the police anymore if they don't stop and solve real crime.

Stopped an attempted break in myself once. Called the cops, took them half an hour to show when I had no clue if the guys were still around. One cop shows up, threatens to shoot my dog who was leashed, laying down, and tied to a post, completely unable to reach him (who had been very good and bitten the would be robbers). Threatened it repeatedly (even after offering to take the dog inside) until I asked him to leave and then said if i asked him to leave he wouldn't investigate the attempted burglary.

There was a burglary spree over the next few weeks with over a dozen homes being broken into. I tried to give visual descriptions + the license plate for the truck they used but was ignored by the cops when I tried to follow up and give someone else the info. Everyone who got robbed can blame the local cops for that.

I never called the cops again after that.

My home alarm system went off by accident, the police came 2 hours later and scared the shit out of me because I wasn't expecting them. I asked why it took 2 hours if they thought somehing happened.

Know what the shitpig said to me?

"We... couldn't find the house."
