Honestly the divorce might have been done for safety for kids and herself. I mean even if the guy gets off scott free his name and imagine is going down. If she had stayed with him retaliation might have headed her way, and by separating herself from him she keeps both herself and her kids safe
I’m not necessarily saying the protective custody thing is wrong, but I think the fact that it was also the day she saw video of her husband nonchalantly kill a man may have been a factor in wanting a divorce.
