This half-defense of Noor's reckless and intentional killing of Justine Diamond is inappropriate. He aimed his weapon at an unarmed woman, innocent of any crime, who had called for help, and then fired at her vital organs. Her killing was not an accident, it was deadly, unconscionable excessive force, and the sentence was fair or even light.
We should want an even heavier sentence here because the man was slowly murdered in broad daylight, but let's not down play prior excessive force killings to make a point.
