I do wonder what the world would be like had the europeans just left the native americans be. I never come to any conclusions bc I’m just some random douche but its an interesting thing to just kind of think about.
Edit: If you’re going to say that someone else would have conquered them, just be aware that thats about half the replies to this.

Edit 3: Before you comment that diseases would have/did take them out, about 30 other people have already said that.
While Columbus was no saint, you can find more blood in the hands of literally every subsequent Spanish or Portuguese explorer.
Cortes, Dias, and Ponce de Leon were all just as bad if not worse. I find it interesting that we focus the blame on Columbus. And nobody takes issue with the fact that two continents were named after Vespucci, who worked for both Spain and Portugal.
