Damn, dementia is such a horrible disease. Robbing us of great minds before the body’s ready to go. Jerry Sloan has some great quips included in tonight’s episodes. It’s really sad to know that wit is gone.

The story about the start of his coaching career is crazy.

Get's asked to join the coaching staff at his alma mater, does but changes his mind last second and then the team is involved in a horrific plane crash. He takes the job as the assistant coach of the Bulls and the rest is history.

My friend’s grandpa lives at the same care home that Jerry does. While they were having a party for his birthday, Jerry came in and without saying a word, sat down and ate my friend’s slice of cake, then walked back to his room silently. He didn’t know any better since his severe dementia has been ruining his mind.
