Some people will say this is a wonderful story (take my upvote) but it's not. It should not be this hard, especially if you want it this much. We need to shake up the system so we can allow exceptional people like this to BE EXCEPTIONAL at things like improving their communities and the world, instead of trying to get wifi so they can get their schoolwork done.
I am so proud of him but also ashamed that this country makes it so damn difficult for bright kids to succeed. It is morally wrong. Behind this remarkable young man are thousands of equally brilliant sons and daughters of poor immigrants who get discouraged and settle for less. And who can blame them? That's a damn hard road.
