TL;DR: A stroke didn’t feel like I thought it would.
This is just my experiment but take caution when it comes to strokes. I always imagined a stroke or anything brain related would hurt like a mother fucker until I actually had one. I had just exited the highway to the access road of a very busy area so the line at the light was super long. Felt fine coming off the highway and the first stop I started feeling slightly buzzed like I had been drinking. Second stop and I was feeling more light headed but in a good way but it was so subtle I didn’t even think anything was wrong. Luckily I stopped again right at the light and everything went weak. I couldn’t lift my left arm, my face drooped and I was slurring. My wife looked at me and knew exactly what was happening(Glad I married a nurse) we switched places(slowly) and she drove me to the ER. Luckily it was just a TIA or small stroke with no lasting effects. But to think about how good I was feeling right up to full effect of the stroke was really scary.
