Proud Canadian. Pay my taxes and don’t complain. Believe in the social safety net. Generally trust the government; even when I don’t agree or things seem sketchy, I believe in the checks and balances. Had a job since I was 15. Now in my 40’s. Never been unemployed for longer than a week in between jobs. First time unemployed during pandemic. First I have ever needed and used Canada.ca to register for a anything, including social programs. Incredibly easy. As simple as setting up an amazon account. And filling out an 8 question form. Took me all of 20 minutes even reading all the forms. They got this right. Can’t wait to get back to work so I can pay taxes again. 10/10, would choose Canada for pandemic response and recommend to others.
