This thread just proves how dysfunctional the American democratic system is. People pleading for a strategic vote - strategic vote shouldn’t be necessary. But there are no real choices, no proper representation of the political landscape, way too much power given to one person. why should the people even have to think about how the Supreme Court will be majority republican - this situation should never be possible. There needs to be a better power distribution.
The American system is very faulty and needs a desperate overhaul. It will come eventually. One way of another. Just like it came to us in Germany, the Americans managed to do a way better job there By the way.
I really pity America and I am genuinely worried for the country and it’s democracy, I don’t see a bright future ahead. But I hope I am wrong.
