Edit: Kinda unrelated but I just thought of something I heard once. Being into heavy metal is like BDSM you think you’re into it until you meet someone who is REALLY into it.
Babymetal turned up in my YT suggested vids once and I gave them a shot. Went from "wtf am I listening to?" to "This is pretty catchy" to "I wanna hear that again" pretty fast. Their back-up band is full of deadly musicians and the girls are total professionals, and from watching live performance vids it seems like everyone has a blast being part of that group. RHCP is a fan of theirs too, there are vids out there of them performing together.
I can get not liking them, but going out of your way to try to shame someone who does, that's so dumb and pointless.

I'll never get those kind of "music fans". Why get so mad over something that truly doesn't affect you or is bad in any way?
