I get the humor, but damn this hit me. Daughter lives with my ex 3 hours and 4 towns away, I see her weekly to fortnightly at the latest, she's my world. The entire country went into lockdown tonight, I'm not legally allowed to leave the the house outside of essentials and not outside of town.
FWIW I live in St. Louis which has a shelter in place order. A local lawyer released information saying honoring a custody court order is an essential task and you will be allowed to do that. So for any parents struggling with custody agreements please check with local legal counsel even during a lockdown you might be allowed to switch off custody because it’s a court order.
The lockdown has been great for cancelling obligations. No need to go on that double date. No need to go to your coworker's housewarming. No need to go to your girl's friend's engagement party.
