Worked on an aparagus farm as a kid, can confirm this is how asparagus grows. On hot, wet days we'd have to pick more than once a day because it grew so fast.

Nope. They grow on apples. Not in. On. They come out of like the bottom. It's fucking bizarre, man, you gotta take a look.
