Growing up in St Louis, I had no idea the DH was a thing in the AL as a kid.
When my buddy from Chicago told me about Frank Thomas i didn’t believe him. The Cardinals never played the Sox, why would such a mythical creature even exist?

Bruce Smith (Bills DE, 200 sacks) was listed at 6'4" and 280 lbs. Frank Thomas was listed as 6'5" and 275.
Imagine trying to pitch inside to someone the size of a defensive lineman.
