When I first moved in to my house the bathroom sink didn't drain properly, I took out the u bend to find it crammed full of cotton buds (Q tips I believe they're known as in America land) between that and the shocking pink room I had to paint I'm deducing that the previous tenants had a young girl.

Yes, even the screwdriver. It just takes a bit longer to dissolve and might require multiple doses.
