After a bizarre jaunt around the streaming world, beloved comedy Community is finally landing on Netflix on April 1. On Friday afternoon, the streaming giant posted a clip from the Dan Harmon comedy and revealed that there’s “no foolin'” when it comes to Community hitting Netflix. Your quarantine binge-watch just got even better.
Created by Rick and Morty‘s Dan Harmon, Community centers on a group of students at Greendale Community College. Viewers are first introduced to Jeff Winger (Joel McHale), a former lawyer who enrolls in community college after his law firm discovers that he lied about his bachelor’s degree. Jeff soon falls for his classmate Britta (Gillian Jacobs) and forms a friendship with some of the other students, a group that includes Abed (Danny Pudi), Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown), Annie (Alison Brie), Troy (Donald Glover), and Pierce (Chevy Chase). Together, they deal with the eccentric — to put it nicely — methods of their professor, Ben Chang (Ken Jeong), and handle the ups and downs of personal and professional life.
Community ran for six seasons from 2009 to 2015, with the first five seasons airing on NBC, and the final on Yahoo! Screen. After NBC canceled the comedy, which remained critically acclaimed throughout its run but struggled in the ratings, in 2014, Yahoo! Screen ordered a final season that wrapped in June 2015. In the years since its series finale, community has remained a critical darling; at the end of last year, it came in at #11 on Decider’s Best TV Shows of the Decade list.
For the last few years, Community has streamed exclusively on Hulu in the United States, but now, that exclusivity window has ended (or so it seems). As of April 1, U.S. subscribers with a Hulu or Netflix subscription will be able to stream the groundbreaking comedy. Outside of the United States, Community is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video (in Canada), Lightbox (in New Zealand), and Netflix (Ireland and Latin America). Community for everyone!

I could have sworn I watched Community on Netflix? Was it on Netflix in Canada a few years ago or am I hallucinating?
