Except you could switch people out and stuff. Definitely every candidate would have a proxy; being in the suit and speaking convincingly would be a job for some actor. And an evil corporation could put someone forward, lie about their entire platform, and then fuck everyone over once they get in. We need to know people’s histories to be able to trust them.
