The trick is to get all of the billionaires to run for office, as advertising produces decent middle class jobs. With enough billionaires buying impressions and taping commercials, at least some videographers, editors, graphic designers and ad sales execs will eat well.
I live in Atlanta. If Bloomberg took that money and just started paving roads I would vote for him. Instead I have to sit and watch his adds before every YouTube video I want to watch. So I loathe and hate him.
