Similar to when Cartoon Network stopped showing Speedy Gonzalez cartoons because they thought it was offensive. He's actually a popular character in Mexico.

And how is it offensive to show people wearing traditional dress anyway? Does Rebecca think Mexican people are embarrassed by it or something? Nice projection.

I think there’s a difference between stereotypes that are offensive, and celebrating culture. Odyssey didn’t make fun of Mexican culture, that entire world was a huge celebration of culture that otherwise doesn’t see that much limelight. I remember when it came out a TON of people were super excited and loved every second of it.

Hell, I’m as pasty white boy as it gets and I thought it was amazing, because it was really cool and colorful and beautifully designed. At no point did I feel like I was making fun of their culture, I threw that sombrero on because I wanted to fit in and be like the cute little candy skull guys.

Kinda like how Coco was a beautiful look into Mexican culture, and really a celebration of Mexican heritage. That movie was beautiful in so many ways.
