I had always heard that third class passengers really got the shaft on survival rate. While the death rate was obviously higher, the difference in men vs. women is much more significant.
I believe the only child who died from 1st class died because their mother refused to leave their father because they were looking for their 2nd child who got separated from them with his nanny
Edit: the second child and the nanny were on a lifeboat unknown by the parents so he survived
