The right is gearing up to try and get Roe v Wade overturned, and that excites them. Just having an opinion isnt enough, they must shove it down everyone's throat through rule of law. A majority of Christians in America are single issue voters and this is generally all it takes to secure the right wing religious vote in a presidential election, policy and country be damned.
And yes, I'm going to sit here and generalize Christians. Barely any of you speak up against the man.
I think I can explain the bad faith arguements i keep seeing:
During the Obama administration, unaccompanied minors were kept in facilities (that had fences) until they could be reunited with family members.
During the Trump administration, children were being taken away from families to be imprisoned in makeshift jails (and quickly built cages) for an undisclosed amount of time in order to scare other immigrants from coming here.
Being self aware that this is bad, and wanting so much to move the focus off of the current situation by lying about the past won't change any of these facts.
