Eventhough I have a cell phone on me at all times, I keep a lighter, large moving banket, pocket knife, and an mre in my car at all times in case there is horrible short term senario like this.
Checking that the tailpipe is not blocked with snow should be priority #1. Entire families have died while trying to get warm inside a car while someone was digging the snow from around the car, inadvertently leaving the tail pipe for last.
