I saw, very briefly, a crochet/knitting based subclass before my computer crashed and I have never been able to find it since. I think it was for a sorcerer, but it might have been wizard.

But there's nothing I want more than to find that subclass one day. I've found an actual class, but no subclasses, and while my DMs are generally okay with homebrew subclasses, it's a lot harder to convince them to add a whole new class.

I might try to make my own one day. Wizard would be nice, but anyone who crochets would agree warlock could be fitting. We've all signed our souls away for pretty yarn. Pact of the Skein. I also fully believe knitting needles could be weapons.

If you want any kind of flare to your class always look into traditions and culture. It may exist somewhere. Goddess that weaves the tapestry of Destiny is quite common. You may have an artificer that uses yarns of different materials and colors, and ties different knots to curse or bless people. As well as knits magical items out of rare wools of magical creatures.

I actually went into programming because I viewed (and still view) programming like magic. Like you sit in front of a computer and open a blank project, you write down lines of commands, and boom, video game. You literally created something from nothing. If I can't be an actual wizard, I'll settle for programming.
