My parents say “go on then go on then, explain yourself”
If I don’t do anything they shout at me, but if I have a valid response as to why I took so long to get downstairs they still get pissed.

This reminds me of a time my dad wanted a reason for something I did, then I explained my reason and he shouted that he doesn’t want any excuses and I need to give him a valid reason. That loop kept happening over and over for an hour
