When I was a kid, I used to sell things on my front lawn, like a lemonade stand type thing (sometimes we had lemonade or other "attractions"). One of the things that I put out to sell was different quartz stones that i had found in my yard or in the woods behind my house. Some were pretty decent specimens. All the parents told me that they weren't actually worth anything because they "weren't diamonds" and so no one would want to buy my stones. Years later, when I saw similar stones in real stores, I was so angry. And now this! Narrow-minded parents killed my dream.
