I hope you get to spend as much time as you can with your dad. Mine passed without any notice and despite 20 years of not having a good relationship I miss every day. I'd give anything to talk to him or my mom again. Please dont miss out, I know hospitals suck and seeing him like that isint awesome but remember he is still here so talk to him as much as you can. Please hug him for me.

I love that they dressed up! Makes it feel almost as though you’re in a concert hall. I’m sure the patients really appreciate that.

A band visiting my Nans nursing home (for people with Alzheimer’s) entrusted her with a triangle during their performance. Instead of playing with them, she tried to outpace the rest of the band and “win”. To this day, the image of my nan playing a triangle at 160bpm to a ward full of confused elderly people still gives me a laugh. She never understood why she wasn’t allowed to help out with future performances.
