Yeah, unfortunately it's a lot easier pointing to external forces, real or fictional than accepting personal responsibility. The mark of a mature adult is understanding the pivotal role they play in their own existence. It's hard, uncomfortable, and sometimes painful to own up to your own shit but in my opinion it is what defines a whole person.
