No one is going to see this but Budapest is my favorite European city. My wife and I went there a few months ago for our Honeymoon Do-over and we instantly fell in love. We immediately went to the historic library once we checked into our hotel. Afterwards we walked down to the shoe memorial and took a river cruise.

The next week was spent fully taking in a rebuilding city with so much to offer. Whether it was the many options of mom and pop stands, the 2 Michelin starred restaurants, or ridding the funiculars up the Castle District... Budapest charmed us.

I have been all over the world and I can say that no place has left as big an impression as Budapest. Wishing you all the best of luck and we are counting down the days till we return.

In Denver, we have a small park called the Hungarian Freedom Park with a pretty gnar statue in honor of those who died in the uprising.

Edit: I’m realizing now is why it’s good to have memorials like this.

I remember asking my mom as a child what the hell the dead body statue was that we’d pass by every day to school and she explained it to 5 year old me, it stuck with me to this day.
