I suppose just coming out and admitting that it is within his right to commit impeachable offenses is one defense strategy no one saw coming. He should probably look that one up though...Because this is pretty bananas.
His whole response to this scandal is crazy. It’s basically, “This is fake news and the person who accused me of it is a liar. And here’s my account of things where I admit to exactly what I’m accused of. But the person who accused me of it is just out to get me. But I had every right to do what I did because I have absolute power. Also there’s nothing wrong with what I did. I did it perfectly. But I didn’t do it.”

It's disgraceful that he should have to investigate corruption alone! He should form some kind of bureau to investigate federal crimes.
