That’s awesome, she had to be so excited two older kids took time to teach her! This made my day!

This how skaters are made and build friendships. Friendships are why skaters roll in packs. Skater kids always had shitty reputations because adults found them to be difficult and trolly. The skaters I rolled with are now adults and the stigma is lifting thru pictures like these. Dont be surprised that skaters help skaters thats how we learned most of our tricks, is from each other. No parents, no masters.

I’ve logged enough hours on the stairs at the skate park as a skater’s wife to know that this is a common occurrence. Skaters see a kid trying their best, and they almost always step in to help them learn something. I’ve seen my husband stop his sesh to teach kids we don’t know one on one. I’ve gotten teary eyed more than a few times watching grown men form lines down a ramp to catch a little kid attempting their first drop in. And they do it because most of these skaters learned the hard way, and they just want to see the next generation of skaters flourish and break more boundaries. And less bones, haha. The skate community is very underrated when it comes to general wholesomeness.
