1986 or '87.. I was a Deadhead, living in Westchester. Had a friend that wanted a ride to Brooklyn to see some friends. Gave him a ride, went up stairs with him. Hung out with 3 stoners.. had a great time.. found out months later it was the Beastie Boys
I saw them at Lollapalooza '94. They stopped their set in the middle because a group was throwing a chick up in the air on on a blanket and it was clearly unsafe. They stopped their song and were like, "Hey, that's really dangerous. You gotta stop doing that."
