That's amazing! I happened across the same deal at a garage sale one time (also a blue gbasp that was also $4) but mine came with a kirby game. I spent hours on that thing before I finally sold it a couple of years ago. Good times.
I was working at a garage sale at my parent's church as a kid. I laid my gameboy color down by the cash box for a little bit, and one of the old ladies sold it with my Pokemon Red in it for a few dollars. Cue me crying and my mom saving the day by catching the family in the parking lot. Phew!
Edit: I still have the Game Boy and use it during power outages!
