Jeez it seems like they’re saying that to everyone these days 😂😂 while we were in my home state of Illinois, someone told my fiancé, who is Hispanic, to “go back to where you came from, wet back”
My fiancé is from Gallup NM. He speaks absolutely no Spanish, and has never even been to Mexico. His great great grandfather was from Mexico, and his great grandfather could speak Spanish but no one in his family is able to anymore now that he passed away.
Of course these people say nothing to me, who can actually speak some Spanish and has been to Mexico who knows how many times. I grew up in Deming, NM.
